Their life story
We take time to learn about their past, their family, what they love and what upsets them, so every visit feels personal.
Dementia care at home
Gentle, patient support at home in Bury St Edmunds and the surrounding villages, built around the routines, memories and relationships that make someone who they are.
Why home matters
For someone living with dementia, familiar surroundings can make a real difference. Their own chair, their own kitchen, the view from their window and the routines they’ve always had can all bring comfort and confidence.
Our job is to help them stay there safely, for as long as possible, with support that adapts as their needs change.
“Care isn’t one size fits all. It should be centred on each individual, embracing their life story and everything that makes them who they are. We look past the diagnosis, because that isn’t who they are.”
How we help
We take time to learn about their past, their family, what they love and what upsets them, so every visit feels personal.
We keep teams small so the same carers visit, and you’ll meet them before care starts. Familiarity builds trust.
Our shortest visit is 30 minutes. There’s always time to go at their pace, and for a cup of tea and a chat.
Help with meals, drinks, medication reminders, household tasks and getting out and about, in the way they’re used to.
From short daily visits to overnight care when nights become unsettled or worrying.
Caring for someone with dementia is hard. We keep you updated, and can give you a break with respite care.
Trained to understand
All of our carers complete dementia awareness training, alongside safeguarding, first aid and moving and handling. New carers work alongside Jade or an experienced colleague before they visit anyone on their own.
Jade has more than 14 years’ experience in care, including leading care homes and home care services across Cambridgeshire and Suffolk.
